Southern Pecan Crisps 5 STARS *****


TASTE A PECAN PIE IN YOUR MOUTH

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 tbsp. butter, melted

1/3 cup chopped pecans

Puff Pastry  (1 sheet), thawed

Confectioners’ sugar

cinnamon and sugar

caramel bites

Heat the oven to 400°F. Stir the brown sugar, butter and pecans in a small bowl.

Unfold the pastry on a lightly floured surface. let set 40 minutes until thawed.

Roll the pastry into a 15 x 12-inch rectangle. Cut the rectangle into20 (3-inch) squares.

Press the squares into the bottoms of 20 (3-inch) muffin-pan cups (can make smaller and use mini muffin pan too just put smaller amounts)

Place 1 heaping teaspoon pecan mixture in the center of each cup then push ONE caramel bite into the middle of each one.

Bake the pastries for 12 minutes or until they’re golden brown.

I did mini ones too..

 

 

Remove the pastries from the pans and let cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle the pastries with cinnamon and sugar  mixture then  confectioners’ sugar

Tastes like a pecan pie in your mouth.

Let cool then pack into container and take to your party
