Reece’s Peanut Butter balls

1 1/2 sticks butter softened
12 oz reg OR crunchy, peanut butter
1 bx powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Mix together till smooth and creamy and the right consistency for rolling into balls, taste make sure it tastes right

NOW  form into small balls  by rolling between the palms of your hands like a meatball

place on waxed paper on cookie sheet

once sheet is filled put into fridge to chill (freezer is faster but don’t forget them)

Now melt your chocolate

take a  stick of paraffin wax and chunk off a few pieces

( you don’t have to have the parrafin wax it is just to make the candy more glossy looking)

and 1 bag of MILK Chocolate chips  (or can use Chocolate Almond Bark)

place into double boiler  (double boiler or a pot with water in it and a heat resistant bowl that fits nicely over top) then put on medium heat lowering the  heat as the candy melts.. Chocolate is VERY temperamental and will seize very easily if cooked too fast and too hot

when fully melted take balls with toothpicks or wooden skewer and dip in chocolate and place on wax paper to harden

let cool (I actually put mine in the freezer to harden up quicker)

and then place in covered container and store in fridge

make a lot cause they go fast LOL

PS for a more festive look  or for the holidays.. once they harden you can get a few pieces of white chocolate almond bark and put in a plastic bowl and microwave VERY CAREFULLY and stir till it is melted all the way..

then drizzle onto already hardened peanut butter balls.. then leave plain or sprinkle with colored sugars for festive look
