PRETTY HOMEMADE CAKE STAND  From SUSIE WOOD

So guy’s I went to a Bridal Shower this Weekend and my friend and “Church Sister” Susie Wood brought a  DELICIOUS bunt Cake (gonna get the recipe) on a beautiful Cake Stand…

WELL the cake stand I was so impressed by as well because she MADE IT.. simply with A bowl and a plate and some cement type glue that bonds to glass and porcelain.

That Simple!!! She said she even puts it in the DISHWASHER and it works great.. can you believe it?? so I was so impressed by it.. and she knew it phahahhaa that she came to church the next day ( TODAY ) and brought ME the cake stand to keep.. I was so thrilled!!!!!!!!

I am definitely going to make one though.. cause this is just so cool!!!! you could MAKE a cake stand and a CAKE and give it as a GIFT.. the whole kit and caboodle.. how cool is that?  Anyone else think this is nifty?

  • Step One take a plate put it upside down and then a bowl center up and figure the center before gluing

  • Make sure you have the correct glue Duco Cement is very good for ceramics and such…

  • press firmly down for about 1 minute or so till bonds.. then place something heavy like another plate on top and leave on a level stable place for at least a few hours before handling… Do not use the plate until 16 hours is up. Should end up looking like this

I have gone CAKE STAND CRAZY!!!!!

all the different versions of cake stands you can make in your own home for pennies

this one is my RETRO STYLE LOOK..

using a cup and a square plate from the Dollar Tree

This one is my Shabby Chic look.. Got these items from the local thrift store

I have another one left I have to find the perfect plate to go with it

This one I used a yellow colored glass candy pedestal bowl onto a beautiful old plate with yellow raised painted flowers… definitely my favorite..=)

or how about Christmas for Cookies and Christmas Fruit Cakes.. You can even give it as a present

how about using a Large heavy platter and a heavy planter cup that matches

Have fun…. a creative and very useful project for all ages =) Great for Mothers Day too.. kids could make these for penny’s basically =)
