The amounts depend on how big a casserole you want to make, good for church dinners, came up with it for a reunion but could not take it with me, ate some when I got home, it was sooo good…….but for dinner at home….

3-5 lbs Peeled potatoes, very thin sliced, uncooked

1 pkg. real bacon pieces, the kind in the salad dressing aisle

1 lg onion, chopped

1 pkg (3oz?) Good Seasons powdered ranch dressing mix

4 cups(+/-) Cheese sauce, best if is a little thin

Layer potatoes, sprinkle with bacon pieces and then onion and ranch dressing powder.

Continue layering till about 1 inch or so from top of casserole.

Slowly pour cheese sauce over layers letting it seep down and it just covers the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and top is lightly browned, sauce will thicken some while cooling.
