Meatloaf with Gravy and Crescent Roll Topping

1 cup beef gravy, divided

1 cup bread crumb cubes

1/4 cup minced onions

1 1/2 to 2 pounds ground beef

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 teaspoon salt

1 package crescent rolls

Combine 1/4 cup gravy with beef, bread cubes, egg, onion, and salt; refrigerate remaining gravy. Mix thoroughly. Spray loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and pack the ground beef mixture in loaf pan. Bake at 375° for 55 minutes. Separate rolls, place crosswise over meatloaf, overlapping slightly. Bake 15 minutes more.

Heat the remaining gravy and serve with the meatloaf. Serves 6 to 8.
