Homemade Nasal Saline solution for irrigation of sinuses.

Boil 1 quart of water — boiling is to sterilize it.

After boiled & cooled, pour into a container that has a lid.

Add 1 Teaspoon of Salt

Add 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda.

Shake.

Let cool before use in sinuses.

Use bulb syringe cleaned well before use.

Fill syringe with the saline solution.

Allow solution to flow into one nostril and out the other. Usually bending over a sink helps with head turned.

Do the same with the other side.

This is a recommended homemade solution from Ear Nose & throat docs to help with irrigating the sinuses. Also works well when you have a stuffy nose from a cold.
