my grandfather’s chicken soup recipe calls for a WHOLE chicken.. he always told us even after the chicken had boiled off the bone to leave the fat and bones in there long as possible as it boiled because that is what “Made” your broth!!!!

Grandpa Tony’s Chicken Soup*****

One whole chicken
1 large onion
2 carrots cut up (optional I never put them in)
5 stalks of celery cut up
1 1/2 c alphabet noodles or ORZO (small italian noodle that is shaped like rice)
1 large can of tomatoes or 2 large tomatoes cut up
Lots of Pepper **
Salt to taste

Boil chicken in water with celery onion salt & Pepper chicken will start to fall off bone, de-bone it best you can and take skin out also return to pot and add noodles tomatoes and carrots till tender Pepper again
Eat it Hot Great for when your congested or sick will open you up immediately

you can add extra veggies if you have them on hand
