GERMAN FRIED POTATO CASSEROLE 

Potatoes – peeled and sliced equally thin so they will take same amount of time to cook up.

Meat- Ground Chuck and Ground Sausage 1 pound each.

Mince three garlic cloves and a small to medium size onion , add some vegetable oil and sauté the garlic and onion before adding in your meat. Cook meat till done, seasoning with simple pepper and salt.

Fry  potatoes in vegetable oil. Season with pepper and salt towards the end of frying.

Layering:

Place potatoes  in shallow casserole dish, Salt again.

Add drained cooked meat over top of your crisp and tender fried potatoes.

( I like to shake with some grated parmesan cheese, not in original recipe)

Top with Shredded cheese (recipe calls for Mozzarella Cheese but I have some cheddar today that I am using)

 

Place in preheated 400 oven for 10 minutes

take out and enjoy with green beans
