Homemade cinnamon french toast the southern way*****

Poor Boy’s French Toast- Southern Style

We just use regular sliced bread instead of french bread most days because that is what we have on hand and actually prefer it because of how moist and delicious they are . Just Butter one side of your bread in separate bowl take eggs (how ever much toast your making, you will add more eggs for a huge batch I use 5 eggs)  beat eggs, add in a good amount of cinnamon and a really good amount of sugar , and just a tad of reg milk, mix up well. Now dip your bread, and fry in buttered cast iron skillet, be careful not to burn, turn down heat as skillet gets hotter,. I dip it on both sides quickly  I don’t fry it long I like mine messy it looks ugly but is soooooooo goooood, Enjoy!

The kids like their with syrup but not me.. there is NO NEED for syrup with these
