RECIPE SUBMITTED BY Kim Graves
I dont know if any of you have heard of “Fours Candy” But while flipping through that old recipe book of my grandmothers, I found a typed copy of the old fashioned kind.
FOURS CANDY
1 cup white sugar,
1 cup brown sugar,
1 cup dark Karo Syrup,
1/2 butter (not oleo)
Bring to full boil and add 1 cup whipping cream slowly so boiling does not stop.
Cook until candy form a ball in cold water.
Stir every 3 to 4 minutes so candy does not scorch.
Add 1 teaspoon Vanilla and 1 1/2 lbs of pecans.
Pour into buttered pan.
Cool.
Cut into 3/4 inch squares and LET SET OVERNIGHT in a cool area.
Next day, melt your dipping chocolate in double boiler over medium heat, until melted and smooth. Dip each square and place on wax paper to dry.
