Southern Country Fried Chicken *****

salt
black pepper
garlic powder
4 eggs
1/3 cup water
1 cup louisianna hot sauce
2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon pepper ( add to flour)
2 1/2-pound chicken, pieces

parsley flakes

red pepper flakes

Oil

Morning -Wash Thawed Chicken and rub all over with garlic powder and sprinkle pepper and salt put into plastic bag or bowl and let set in fridge until ready to cook that evening.

Evening, Ready to fry- In a bowl, beat the eggs with the water. Add enough hot sauce so the egg mixture is bright orange (Chicken will not taste Hot, It will just have more flavor) .

In another bowl put flour , season with pepper. Take your seasoned & Dip in the egg, and then coat well in the flour .

Heat the oil to 350 degrees F in a Chicken Fryer.

Fry the chicken in the oil until brown and crisp. Salt again. Dark meat takes longer than white meat. Test a piece before serving.
Drain on wire rack or Paper Towels.

Note: If you want the chicken to have the Hot Kick to it simply Marinate the chicken in the hot sauce that morning when you do your rub.
