RECIPE SUBMITTED BY Dawn Hughes-Weber
I made these Cinnabon style cinnamon rolls last night…this recipe, when I downloaded it earlier this year from the internet, it was not complete…there was a part missing. I had to figure it out. Which I did, but I also changed it and made it my own. I do hope you will enjoy…I did something like this for our Christmas Day Brunch…I make homemade cinnamon rolls, hashbrown casserole, and whatever else we have a taste for…usually bacon and eggs…: ).

Cinnabon Stlye Cinnamon Rolls for a bread machine

Cinnabon Style Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
•1/2 cup warm water
•2 cups milk warm
•2 tablespoon sugar
•1/2 cup butter, melted
•2 eggs (beat eggs first)
•1 teaspoon salt
•3 1/2 oz. pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
•6 cups flour
•2 pkg. dry yeast

•Filling:
•1 cup butter, softened (1/2 cup optional)
•1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
•3 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Preparation:
I usually warm my milk and water together, then pour into bread machine pan, then pour other ingredients as listed above…set machine on dough setting. This recipe does take a 2 lb bread machine or larger (if there is a larger one…lol). But it still needs a little help mixing. So, once it goes through a cycle on the dough setting, if it has not mixed well, I take the pan out and mix it up in the pan making sure to scoop from the bottom to get all the flour, and down the sides as well…then put back in the bread machine and start over on the dough setting…by the time it is finished, it will be mixed well…but sticky. Flour your surface well, pour out on surface, then sprinkle top with flour as well…keep adding flour if you feel you need it….I usually get 20 to 24 rolls…the fewer rolls you get, the bigger each one will be.
Roll out on a floured surface. Take 1 cup soft butter and spread over surface (you can cut this back to half cup if you like). In a bowl mix 1 ½ cups brown sugar and 3 Tbls Cinnamon; sprinkle over the top. Roll up tightly. Put a notch every 2 inches. Cut with thread or a sharp knife. Place cinnamon rolls on lightly greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart; lightly press each roll down. Cover and let rise to double again. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove when they start to turn golden – don’t over bake…frost warm rolls with a cream cheese frosting. Makes about 20 large Cinnabon-like Cinnamon Rolls

Cream Cheese Icing
1 8oz cream cheese
1 stick real butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
1 Tblsp milk

Mix together until smooth…spread by spoonful over warm cinnamon rolls…you can eat while still warm…yum!
