Make your custard.

In Tall Kettle Put

3-4 cups milk, 1stick of butter.

In another bowl put

2 c sugar

2/3 sup cocoa mix well with sugar before adding anything else

8-10 eggs Separated,  Use only yellow of egg with sugar mixture SAVE your egg whites for later for your meringue  

2 tbsp vanilla

3-4 tbsp cornstarch mixed well with water add to sugar mixture use blender.

BRING MILK AND BUTTER TO A BOIL….

Pour sugar mix into kettle when milk and butter comes to a boil, STIRRING CONSTANTLY.. turn down heat… at this point you CAN if you have them throw in a handful of Milk Chocolate chips to make it richer but only if you have them.. not needed ….. stir until thick  THEN add  a little bit more cornstarch mixed w water to thicken pour slowly as you stir you don’t want to make it too thick

HAVE BAKED PIE SHELL READY … Pour thick mixture into pie shell…

MAKE MERINGUE-take egg whites and beat well adding sugar and drop of vanilla beat till starts to foam then when fluffy and foamy

then put over pie and into oven on BROIL watch closely as not to burn.. and just brown the top of pie.. take out and REFRIGERATE… Needs to sit- next day will be good time to slice
