Went to the farmers market yesterday and a guy had a 5 gallon bucket of small sweet yellow delicious apples you normally would use to fry up or make fried pies with… I asked him how much he would take for ALL of them and he said SIX BUCKS I couldn’t believe it… WHOO HOO… SO I made up a batch of apples last night..cooked them till they were soft with sugar and cinnamon and a tab of butter and lemon juice.. and got 5 quarts of those canned then the last two quarts I put through the food mill and got me some thick smooth cinnamon apple sauce

 

Have clean sterile Quart jars ready with funnel. Ladle in the applesauce carefully and wipe rim clean add lid

Put in water bath canner for 20 minutes boiling. Or 5 lbs pressure for 8  minutes Keep in cool dark place (like basement)
