SHELMA’S PRUNE CAKE

 

 

Cake:

1 1/2 c sugar

1 tsp salt

1/2 c oil

1 tsp nutmeg

3 eggs

2 c flour

1 c buttermilk

1 c cooked prunes  (COOK DOWN)

 

 

 

 

1 c black walnuts (WE USE ENGLISH WALNUTS)

 

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp B soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp allspice

Bake 1 hr 350

 

Topping:

1 c sugar

1/2 c buttermilk

1/4 c butter

1/2 tsp b soda

 

 

 

 

 

2 tsp vanilla Boil 1 min pour over cake
