YELLOW CAKE

1 1/2 cups sugar

cream with 2 sticks of butter

add 2 1/2 cups AP flour

2 1/2 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

4 eggs

1 1/4 c milk

2 tsp vanilla

ICING

2 c sugar

1 c milk

1/2 c cocoa

1 tbsp white karo syrup

1 pinch salt

cook till soft ball forms in cup of cold water

Pour over cake when comes out of oven if you are using a 9×13

but if you are making two 9 inch cake rounds you let your icing cool some before adding to the cake layers.
