1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix

1 (14 oz.) pkg caramels

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 (5.3 oz.) can evaporated milk

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chipsMix cake according to box directions.

Pour half of the batter into a 9 X 13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.Melt caramels with butter and milk.

Pour over cake.

Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.

Pour on remaining batter

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees
