SERENA’S  tOATally APPLES N’ PEACHY KEEN CAKE

heat oven to 350 degrees

make a batter of Yellow Cake

2 c.  Self Rising Flour

1 1/4 c. White Sugar

1/2 c. Butter flavored Shortening

1 c. Milk

2 Eggs

1 tsp. Vanilla

Mix batter to smooth.

 

 

In a un greased cake pan pour in about a quart of peaches with juice

about a whole stick of butter

sprinkle a bit of quick cooking oats

a little brown sugar

a little white sugar

allspice

cinnamon

 

take one large apple and peel, and slice thin.. put slices all around the pan

put on Stove eye and let it come to a boil… then turn off and pour your cake batter over, using a rubber spatula get it all and spread over cake evenly as you can

sprinkle some brown sugar over top of batter lightly

sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and white sugar heavily over cake

put into oven at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes maybe (didn’t time mine)  .. watch it and when top cake is done take out, you don’t want it dried out so be careful to get done but not over bake.
