STICKY BUNS

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

4 tsp baking powder

1/3 cup shortening

1 cup milk

 

Topping

3 Tbsp softened butter

3 Tbsp honey

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening add milk and knead dough gently. (mixture should be soft)

Place on floured board. As soon as dough can be handled without sticking to fingers or board. roll out to at leas 1 inch thickness with well floured rolling pin. Cut dough with biscuit cutter then make deep indentation in center of biscuit with the back of a spoon or thumb. Fill each indentation with 1/2 tsp of well blended topping mixture. Allow to rise about  10 minutes Then bake in 400 degree oven about 25 minutes.
