LEMON JELLY CAKE

3 c sugar

1/2 c butter

3 egg yolks

1 c milk

3 c flour

2 1/2 tsp baking powder

Cream sugar and butter add yolks of eggs and milk. sift flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture put in 5 layer pans (thin layers)

LEMON JELLY

2 lemons (grated rind and juice)

1 c sugar

1 egg

1/2 c water

1 tsp butter

(1 tbsp flour or cornstarch mixed with a little water to thicken the sauce when comes to boil)

boil until thickened

put between layers of cake.
