1 Cup butter

2 1/3 Cups brown sugar

Dash of salt

1 Cup white corn syrup

1 can (15 ounce) sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Melt butter, then add brown sugar and salt. Stir in milk and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms the firm ball stage or 236 degrees on the candy thermometer. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into a heavily buttered 8×8 or 9×9 inch square pan and let cool.

Best to set for 24 hours prior to cutting into squares.
