SERENA’S SHEET PAN CINNAMON APPLE BREAD PUDDING

So today I wanted to double the regular 9×13 to make it extra big for a large crowd.

I started out with 2 packs of sunny bun hot dog buns and I tore them up and placed them in my sheet pan. I shook a little cinnamon sugar over them and set the oven to broil.

stick them in to toast a little under the broiler and bring the pan out and sit it to the side while you make your sugar mixture.

In a bowl add 2 cups white sugar

14 eggs

beat well

add some vanilla

add some raisins to your liking to sugar mixture, I also spread some out over my toasted bread because they like to clump together sometimes and I just wanna make sure everyone has a bite of raisin.

Go ahead and melt 2 sticks of butter and set it aside to cool a little before adding to your egg mixture.

add a tbsp of cinnamon to egg mixture

add 1/2 c brown sugar to egg mixture.

take two apples, peel cool and slice thin

Put in sauce pan with a tad bit of water a pinch of butter and some cinnamon sugar, and a pinch of allspice. cook them a bit to get them more tender.

Add your butte to your egg mixture

mix in butter and pour evenly over toasted bread

spoon your apples over top

take same pan you used for your apples and add 3cups of milk mixed with a tbsp of cornstarch, scald the milk and pour over the bread pudding evenly.

put in 400 degree oven for about 25 minutes or so and take out

Make your hard sauce so that when it comes out you will pour it over the hot bread pudding immediately.

In same sauce pan you been using, add 1 stick of butter and 2 cups buttermilk, 2 cups sugar . bring to slow boil and add 1 tsp baking powder. it will overflow if you dont watch. .. add in vanilla and a bit of rum if desire.

dont let overflow.. if have to move off heat then put back. boil one minute and pour over top of bread pudding when it comes out of oven.

push down any dry hard pieces and let it sit to firm.

maybe 35 minutes and it should be set up enough to eat. Enjoy with ice cream.
