Serena’s Fried  squash  (you do zucchini or green tomatoes the exact same way)

Slice VERY thin and place in a bowl of water

roll in mixture of half flour and half yellow corn mill then shake off excess.

Put into already hot skillet that has a little veg oil.

Salt and pepper well, turn and brown get the outside sort of crispy with out burning them by adding a tad of butter just a bit before taking them out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Set them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain or a wire rack… make sure they are not on overlapping one another or they will be soggy!!!!

taste to make sure you put enough salt (these should be salty a bit)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EAT while still warm

Wonderful paired with some pan fried deer steak
