SERBIAN APPLECAKE

4 cups chopped cooking apples

2 cups plain flour, sifted

2 cups sugar

2 tsp soda

2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup crisco oil

1 cup chopped mixed nuts

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

Mix flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon together, set aside. In large bowl break eggs over the chopped apples. Add sugar, nuts, oil, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture. Mix well with spoon, by hand. Pour into greased 9×13 inch pan. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven 60 minutes.
