**to remove corn silk;

  • dampen a paper towel or terry cloth and brush downward on the cob of corn. Ever strain should come off
  • try a toothbrush as well
  • or you can try microwaving each ear of fresh corn on high one minute and while still warm grab the husk and silks from the top of the ear and peel downward.
