Homemade is great.. most of my cakes are homemade but sometimes I grab a cake mix too.. this is one of those cakes that it is ok to use a box mix..
Simply follow the directions on the cake box for batter “Orange Supreme”
take one can of madarin orange slices and COMPLETELY drain.. add the canned slices to the batter
and 1/3 cup of sugar
mix well and pour into two prepared 9 or 10 inch rounds
put in oven at 350 till done about 25 minutes I am guessing
let cool completely
put icing in between layers and can add some mandarin oranges in the middle layer if desire
stack and ice whole cake.. decorate with mandarin oranges and REFRIGERATE.. serve COLD with Orange Sherbert or Vanilla-Orange Cream Ice Cream
