PFLAUMENKUCHEN ~ GERMAN PLUM CAKE
Got this recipe from another group…. the girl (Susanne Michels) submitting it was from Germany. I can’t wait to try this.
Pflaumenkuchen ~ Plum Cake, it’s a typical german type cake. You can put other fruit on top also. cherries are recommended
Plaumenkuchen (mit Hefeteig)
375 g Mehl
1 Päckchen Trockenhefe
50 g Zucker
1 Päckchen Vaniliezucker
1 Prise Salz
200 ml lauwarme Milch
60 g zerlassene Butter
Die Zutaten zu einem Hefeteig verarbeiten und den Teig gehen lassen. Den Teig auf einem Blech ausrollen, mit den Pflaumen belegen und mit braunen Zucker bestreuen.
Im vorgeheizten Backofen bei 200 C (Umluft 170) 20-30 Minuten backen.

375g (3 Cups)plain flour,
7g (1.75 tsp) dried Yeast,
50g (3 heaping Tbsp) Sugar,
(8g Vanilla Sugar) or vanilla extract,
a pinch of Salt,
200ml (almost 7 ounces) lukewarm milk,
60g (1/2 cup) melted butter.
mix the ingredients to make a dough, leave to rise until double in size
Roll the dough out onto a baking sheet, place plum halves onto it and sprinkle with brown sugar. preheat the oven to 200C (390-400 Degrees Farenheit) , bake for 20-30 min. enjoy!
