PERFECT CRUSTED SKILLET BURGER

To get that perfect “CRUST” on your burger… use a Cast Iron Skillet.

The kind of beef you choose is also very important..  I am using a good ground chuck

I am making super burgers today.. but you can patty them out any way you like.. just remember to always patty them slightly larger than you want your burger cause of shrinkage.. also the better quality your meat the less shrinkage anyway.. And if you DO decide to make the Super Burgers like I am making, you need to cook them longer at a lower heat so they will be done inside and not burnt on the outer crust…

get your Iron Skillet good and hot.. with a DAB of oil you will use your burger to move the oil around the pan..

I also like to cook my Sweet Vidalia Onions and mushrooms if I have them right in the pan WITH my burgers.. gives the burgers added juicy sweetness. other than that these burgers needed nothing more than salt, pepper, and garlic powder.. simply delish!

My burgers were so big.. I had to break out a second Cast Iron Skillet to get my job done faster

Just before taking out of pan when done.. top with cheese and let cheese melt before removing the burger
