SINFUL SUMMER SPOON CAKE

1 quart of  canned sliced peaches, drained and mashed (or one large can , or two regular cans or whatever you have on hand)
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1tsp salt
1 egg
Drain the peaches and empty into a large bowl.  mash  your peaches.
Add flour, sugar and soda and mix well.
Spray a 9 x 13 inch cake pan  with bakers joy and pour in batter.
Bake in a preheated 350F degree oven for 30-40 minutes (start watching the cake around 25 minutes cause every oven is different I have found)
Icing:
3/4 cup sugar
3/4  cup canned cream (evaporated milk)
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c coconut
1 cup pecans

1/2 cups brown sugar

Boil everything but the nuts on top of the stove until thickens, remove from heat,
stir in nuts and spread on cooled cake.

VERY WET CAKE but it is DONE.. This is a Spoon Cake it is very rich.. not for everyone but if it’s for you, you will not forget it.. .. Enjoy!
