fried venison with gravy made from drippings

Fried Venison Tenderloin and Steak

1 -2lbs. Steak Tenderloin (thawed out naturally NOT microwave)

Self rising Flour

veg oil

salt

pepper

garlic powder

 

 

Roll in plate of flour shake off and put into searing hot frying pan with a small amount of hot veg oil.

Turn down heat. Salt and pepper well and shake garlic powder lightly over all the meat.

Brown each side and put small tab of butter in to make crispy (the one mistake every one makes with deer meat is they over cook it and make it tough, deer cooks very fast, DO NOT TREAT IT LIKE STEAK. DO NOT OVER COOK. Serve with a1 steak sauce.

(You can fry with onion or ramps if so desire) and if you want to have a gravy to go with it just keep your grease and add flour and water salt and pepper and butter stir well and add a bit of water and flour at a time.

Also great with eggs at breakfast or mashed potatoes and macaroni at supper -time.
