2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
Heat oven to 350
Grease and flour 2 layer pans
Measure all ingredients into large mixer bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed scraping bowl constantly. (75 strokes by hand)
beat three minutes on high speed ( 450 strokes by hand) pour into pans
bake 30-35 minutes or till wooden pic inserted comes out clean
cool
note this cake baked in 13x9x2 baking pan you bake 40-45 min Cool and frost
