Ok, Serena, as promised my recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate bars. I don’t remember where I found this but we love them!

2 C packed light brown sugar
3/4 C softened butter
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Mix these ingredients thoroughly and set aside. This is mixture #1.

2 1/2 C Bisquick
3 C dry oats (can be quick or regular)
Mix these ingredients and set aside. This is mixture #2.

12 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 tsp salt
1 C sweetened condensed milk (I use one can)
2 tbls butter
2 tsp. vanilla
Combine all ingredients and heat on the stovetop until all are melted and thoroughly mixed together. Set aside. This is mixture #3.

Now you have 3 different mixtures. Grease a 12X9 baking pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the first two mixtures together. The batter will be stiff and you may have to use your hands to combine them well.

Pat 2/3 of this mixture into the baking pan. Pour the chocolate mixture over this. Add the remaining oat mixture over the top of the chocolate. Since it is very thick, I flatten small balls of the mixture in my hands and carefully place them on the top of the chocolate. The chocolate will not be totally covered when you are finished.

Bake for 30 minutes. Overbaking will make them very hard!!
