NUTTY TOFFEE CHRISTMAS BARK

line a cookie sheet with parchment paper you can lightly spray it if desire

add your mixed nuts (a cup and a half should do) and some pretzels and crackers and a few white chocolate chips if you have them

preheat oven. to 350

in heavy bottomed saucepan add two sticks of butter

melt butter and add in 1 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, stir into the melted butter until bubbling and frothy

pour carefully over the peanut mixture

bake 5 minutes

take out and while hot add your chocolate chips to the top (almost a whole bag of chocolate chips, I added a few white too)

spread with rubber spatula to cover toffee mixture, it will be melting as you spread.

then I sprinkle a few white chocolate chips and pop whole pan into the freezer to firm up and stop the melting process of the chocolate.

take out, break up and put into your tins for Christmas.
