Shelma’s (MOM’S)  Homemade Bread Pudding

loaf of french bread sliced and placed into a sprayed 9×13 cake pan

Bring to a Rolling Boil three cups of milk and pour over your bread let soak while you mix your sugar and egg mixture.

Mix up :

1 cup sugar

7-8 whole eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1 stick melted butter

3/4 of a regular box of raisins  (add some to the sugar mixture and  mix some with the bread)

sprinkle cinnamon over top and  pecans to your liking

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Bake until done.. 25-30 minutes. according to your oven really.keep watch on it

make your topping.. put topping on as SOON as it comes out of oven warm.

TOPPING:

1 Cup sugar

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup butter

1/2 tsp soda

2 tsp vanilla

add pecans and some of your raisins to topping..

boil 1 minute  and pour over warm bread pudding
