Serena, here’s my sister’s (Lyda Kessler) Prune Cake Recipe:
1 C oil
2 C sugar
3 eggs
2 C flour
1 tsp each of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, soda, and salt.
1 C buttermilk
2 jars of 2nd stage baby food prunes or 3 small jars (I think now they are prunes and apple)
1 C chopped nuts
Mix all ingredients excepts nuts with mixer. Add nuts and blend with spatula or spoon.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
