2 yeast cakes in 1/2 cup warm water (don’t stir). Set aside.

1 c. Snowdrift

3/4 c. sugar

Cream together, then pour 1 cup boiling water over that, to dissolve. (Don’t have any lumps.)

Beat 2 eggs lightly and put in.

Measure 7 cups flour, sift with 1 tablespoon salt. Then put in yeast cake.

Add 2 teaspoons baking powder and stir well. Put in ice box overnight. Make into rolls 2 hours before baking. Bake at 450 degrees about 10 minutes.

To form rolls: Take out the amount of dough needed (leaving remainder in ice box), roll out, cut with round cookie cutter. Paint tops with melted butter, fold each one in half (firmly, so they won’t pop open during baking).
