Hardees Biscuits
2 cups self rising flour

1/3 cup lard

1 1/2tsp of sugar

11/2tsp baking powder

1 cup of buttermilk

1/2 stick of melted butter

Cut lard into flour with pastry cutter or two forks mix other ingredients into the flour well

pour out onto floured surface and roll dough out to its thin but not to thin cut out biscuits

then dip them into the melted butter

 

bake at 400 to 425 until golden brown,

 

they are great fresh out of the oven with butter or sausage gravy
