12 Ruston or North Louisiana peaches

Sunflower oil

Blueberry syrup

Homemade ice cream or frozen low-fat yogurt

Quarter the peaches, discarding pits and leaving skin on. Place in a bowl and drizzle with oil. Place peaches on grill for several minutes, turning once. Peaches should only turn slightly brown and become tender when ready.

Serve with homemade ice cream or frozen low-fat vanilla yogurt. Drizzle with blueberry syrup.

 

Serves 6. This is a simple recipe for a good summertime treat when the family grills hamburgers, steaks or fish.
