Graham Cracker Toffee Bars

 13 full graham cracker sheets
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Break  the graham crackers at the seams for small bars or just use squares

add to  cookie sheet pan.
Sprinkle chopped pecans over top .

in saucepan on medium heat, combine butter, sugar, and vanilla.
Once the butter has melted and combined with the sugar, turn the heat to medium-high heat and bring to a full boil.

Allow the mixture to boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally
Slowly and carefully pour the butter mixture over the graham crackers. Spread the mixture with a rubber spatula, ensuring all pieces are covered and still evenly distributed.

Bake 350° for 7-9 minutes or until the toffee coating is bubbling and crackers slightly browned.

Remove from the oven, allow them to rest a minute, then transfer to a cooling rack. Store in an air-tight container.
