Glazed Carrots

water

1 pound carrots, cut in large chunks

salt

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp brown sugar

pinch ground nutmeg

 

1.  in a 2 qt saucepan over med heat. In 1 inch boiling water heat carrots and 1/4 tsp salt to boiling. Reduce heat to low cover and simmer 15′ minutes or till tender crisp. drain.

2. Add butter sugar nutmeg and 1/4 tsp salt. Return mixture to heat and cook stirring constantly until carrots are glazed.
