GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL CAKE

1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix / Divided into two parts

1 1/2 cup melted butter

1 can Eagle Brand milk

1 bag caramels

(optional) 1/2 cup pecans

Add 1 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup milk to 1/2 of cake mixture.

mix well and pour into greased and floured layer pan

bake 25 minutes

While baking, melt over medium heat, 1/2 cup butter, caramels, pecans and remainder of milk. When cake is done pour caramel mixture over. Pour remaining cake batter over caramel mixture and bake an additional 25 minutes.
