For layers or round loaf cake.. Good
Sift together…
2 c sifted flour
1 1/3 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 c shortening
Add
1/2 tsp lemon extract
1/2 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup milk
THEN ADD
Then add 1/3 cup milk
to 1/3 cup unbeaten egg yolks Or use 2 whole eggs
(To save sugar you may use 2/3 c sugar and 2/3 cup of corn srup and reduce milk to 3/4 cup and 1 tsp milk to eggs instead of 1/3 of cup)
Bake till done
