English Toffee with toasted Pecans

1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
3 tab water
8 oz milk chocolate chips
1 cup toasted pecans broken into pieces

Heat oven 350 degrees. Place broken pieces of pecans in bottom of 8×8 baking dish and roast 10 minutes. In heavy sauce pan cook butter, sugar, water at high temp stirring constantly with wooden spoon. When mixture turns fluffy turn temp down to medium heat and stir until mixture turns amber in color. Pour amber mixture over pecans evenly. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of mixture and swirl chips with knife. When toffee hardens, turn over onto wax paper and break into pieces. Store in air tight container.
