DRESSED BANANAS ANYONE?

Anybody every had dressed bananas or is that just something my mom made up?

Bananas cut in half
Cover with mayo
Roll in crushed peanuts

We loved this and had them every Christmas dinner. Sounds gross to me’ now though lol

      Run To Jesus       Lol yeah must a’ been a po’ folk delicacy back in the day . I haven’t seen it on my moms holiday table for many yrs. Guess we upgraded to weldor salad lol.

    • Vonda Kay Blackwell Jones       Serena, I have never tried the banana, mayo & nut combo. However, I have tried banana, mayo & lettuce. It is different, not bad though. I guess if you can tolerate the sweet & sour sauce at these restraunts this is no different really. Try it sometime & your other friends recipe.

    • Louise Atkinson       Never tried a banana in mayo with peanuts…my mom used to eat banana and mayo sandwiches…I love peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches and peanut butter and banana sandwiches…different strokes for different folks, I guess.

      Elizabeth Chambers-Hernandez In Mexico, they eat mayo on alot of things….corn on the cob and hot dogs NEVER get eaten without mayo. But they have awesome mayo. It has lime juice in it and it is the bomb! I would totally try the bananas! LOL!
