Dirty Rice
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups long grain rice
1 ½ lbs. extra lean ground beef
1 onion chopped fine
½ bell pepper color of your liking chopped
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 rib of celery chopped
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper more if you like heat
1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
Pinch of oregano

Directions:
Use a pot with a cover to brown your meat. When meat is browned add your vegetables. Cook until vegetable are soft. Add spices and cook for another 3 minutes. Make sure you rinse your rice thoroughly prior to adding it to the pot. Add your rice and sauté until the rice turn from a pale white to bright white. When rice has been sautéed add 2 ½ cups boiling water and bring to a boil. When you notice most of the water is absorbed, put the cover on it. Cook rice for 20 minutes. Turn off fire and let rice sit for another 10 minutes. Then serve hot.
