CREAMY BROCCOLI & SAUSAGE PASTA BOWL

1 lb sausage

3 garlic cloves minced

crushed red pepper

oregano

black pepper

4 cups heavy whipping cream

4 cups (whole container) Chicken Broth

whole stick salted butter

2-8oz. blocks of cream cheese

3 cups grated parmesan cheese

2lb bag broccoli

parsley

garlic powder

Creole (Toney’s)

crushed black pepper

mixture of rigatoni noodles and penne noodles

salt

First brown your sausage with a little black pepper and a pinch of crushed red pepper and some oregano.

Today I am using a 1 pound pack of Wild Boar that my friend gave so it is extra lean and I added in a little butter and a splash of vegetable oil.  Depending on your sausage your using you may need to drain your sausage after it is cooked. I don’t since mine is so lean.

push cooked sausage to the side and now add in three garlic cloves that you minced an some butter, about a half stick,  Don’t let your garlic burn.

Start off by adding in an 8 ounce block of cream cheese, and 2 cups heavy whipping cream, 2 cups chicken broth, and 8oz of grated parmesan cheese (a little over 2 cups) I am going to double all these in a moment except for the parmesan cheese…

Stir get all the cream cheese broken down

add in a 2lb bag of broccoli. ( NOTE : I added my frozen broccoli  right in the same pot but if your pressed for time and you like your broccoli extra tender like I do, you would probably want to boil it on the side in a separate pot to get it tender faster)

put lid on to get broccoli tender, but diligently stand and stir so your cream won’t scorch or stick.

Add a little parsley flakes, a little crushed black pepper, just one shake of garlic powder, and a shake of Creole to complement the sausage.

I have already boiled and drained a mixture of penne and Rigatoni Pastas, I am gonna  add a little salt, pepper, parsley, butter, and a shake of parmesan cheese to my hot pasta before adding it to my meat sauce.

My sauce is loose and I want it to be..

it will thicken more after heat is turned off.. but I love eating it right away with a crusty bread or garlic bread dipped in and yes a SPOON like a soup LOL! Enjoy !
