COUNTRY STYLE BONE IN PORK RIB

So these aren’t really my favorite.. I hardly ever buy these. I like the baby back ribs when I want ribs. But these were on sale and as y’all know meat is just terrible right now when it comes to prices. So here is my method of choice for these on a busy day. It’s really simple.

First you season with salt and pepper and brown your ribs on all sides. I use a 10 inch cast iron skillet.

Next you decide if you are going to be close by and want to transfer them to slow cook in a Cast Iron Dutch Oven with lid or if you have plans like me stick em in a crock pot and finish them when you get back.. I chose today to do the crock pot.

Transfer your ribs that you browned to a Crock Pot and add in two beef bullion Cubes, and add in 1 or two whole peeled cloves of garlic, and add in about 3/4 c water.

I season again with salt and pepper, but at this point you can add more spices if desire, paprika garlic powder ect.. you can even add in an onion if desire… its up to you!

Put lid on put it on low and let it go about 7-8 hours or till you achieve desired tenderness.

.

It is at this point you will take out your ribs and put in a baking pan, brush with your favorite BBQ Sauce over top and put into 425 degree oven for 10 minutes

take out and serve with your sides.. today we decided on Fried Green Tomatoes, BBQ Baked Beans and instead of a baked potato I chose to quickly deep fry some store bought potato pirogies .

I hope you enjoy this recipe!
