For dinner: Serving old Fashioned Fried potatoes with kielbasa and a mess of fried cabbage and onions with hamburger.

delicious .. tastes much better than it looks 🤣 not a beautiful dish but very country and homey!

Start with a chopped onion and 4 garlic cloves minced, add in a pound or so of hamburger and heavy on the pepper add some salt. Maybe a tbsp of veg oil as you brown your meat.
Chop up a large cabbage.

When meat is browned add chopped cabbage to the pot.

Add a tab of butter to top of cabbage, salt and pepper . ..toss cabbage with the burger.
Next take cup of water and add beef bouillon cube and let dissolve in the cup of water .. if you have some beef stock on hand you can use that instead.

Keep cooking the the cabbage and halfway through I add in the cup of water/broth

At some point I add a just sprinkle of creole seasoning (Toney’s) for a hint of heat but it’s optional, grandma just used lots of pepper but I like the Toney’s in this too.

I do use my lid on and off as the broth cooks down.
And I do add more butter and season to taste but I don’t measure this dish.
You can add corn if you like.

Also I added some of my cooked kielbassa.
I serve with any fried potatoes and smoked sausage or kielbasa
