Corn Meal Gravy

½ c. yellow or white self rising cornmeal
1 c. water
1 c. milk
4 tbs. bacon grease or oil

In a sauce pan add bacon drippings or oil over medium heat. Add meal and slightly brown. Combine milk and water and pour over meal. Bring to a boil and cook until slightly thickened not to thick for it will thicken when cooled. Serve over toast or biscuits with a side order of bacon or country ham or pork chops. Enjoy.
