MAPLE PECAN DIVINITY ICING 

1 1/2 cups Maple Syrup

3 egg whites

3/4 c chopped pecans

 

Boil syrup to 260 or when a thread of syrup cracks in cold water.

 



I have already beaten my egg whites until stiff peaks formed. 

Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites,

beating constantly until icing is of the consistency to spread. Stir in pecans. 


Ice 2 Devils chocolate 9 inch cakes with Divinity Icing on sides and middle
